FC DIABLOS SUFFER BACK TO BACK LOSSES THIS PAST WEEKEND

This past weekend FC Diablos suffered back to back losses against DeKalb County United and Berber City FC.
Against DeKalb County Diablos started the scoring in the 10th minute by Kevin Sanchez. A pass across goal went straight to Sanchez’s boot and he slotted into an empty net.
However DeKalb weren’t giving up a fight and got two on the scoreboard in the 18th and 25th minute to make it 2-1. Diablos didn’t respond until the 62nd minute with Magnus Parente with a freekick right outside the box.
A cross lofted into the box found Jordan Walker in the box and he put it into the net to tie the game up. DeKalb wasn’t done just yet and they after stealing the ball off of Delphy Sabu and a pass to an open player in the box led to the game winning goal making the score 3-2 to DeKalb.
The next day was the last home game of the season against Berber City FC. Coming off a loss Diablos was looking to recover and try to get out a win.
Berber City came out strong and within 39 minutes they were up 3-0 taking out much hope of Diablos coming back. But in typical Diablos fashion they scored two goals in two minutes with two minutes until halftime.
A goal from Julian Campos off a freekick and a strong header from Ethan Miller from a corner of Magnus Parente shortened the goal margin to only one goal.
In the second half Berber City scored in the 55th minute followed by a goal scored by Walker in the 66th minute with a left footed shot into the net to make the score 4-2. One minute after Walker’s goal Berber City sealed the win making the scoreline 5-3.
