The score remained 1-1 up until the 73rd minute when right winger Cristian Bregu slotted home the second goal for the Diablos. Tension remained high for the remainder of the match, and in a last minute effort to score, the Gears took multiple shots yet their actions did not prevail. FC Diablos solidified the win and three points.
Coming off a 2-1 victory, the Diablos were hoping to earn their second straight Midwest Premier League win against RWB Adria.
Diablos’ goalkeeper Ryan Ash had a tremendous penalty kick save early on, but it was not enough to slow down Adria’s momentum. They scored twice in the first half and again just five minutes into the second half.
After being shut out in the first 45, FC Diablos were hoping to make a comeback, however they had a much similar second half. They ended the game without taking a shot.
