RWB Adria hand FC Diablos first loss of the season
Bloomington, Illinois – On Wednesday night FC Diablos suffered their first loss of the season against unbeaten and top of the table RWB Adria. Diablos lost 3-2 and nearly tied in the last minutes of the game, but the goal was ruled offside.
Adria started off on the scoreboard in the second minute of the match. After gaining back the ball in midfield a through ball was sent to Taylor Bond slotting it past goalkeeper Grant Abbott.
It took only seven minutes for FC Diablos to respond for the equalizer in the ninth minute. A freekick taken by Mukadi Seydou was sent into the box for Magnus Parente to head towards goal and Bloomington local and top goal scorer of the club Jordan Walker put the ball in the back of the net.
In the second half, Adria took advantage of the space they had and scored two goals within one minute. Zach Regett scored his first of the match and Bond added to his goal tally making it 3-1.
After trailing for the majority of the half FC Diablos were able to get a goal back in the 89th minute. Walker laid the ball off for Parente to smash it into the net and he did exactly that to make it 3-2.
FC Diablos now holds a record of 3-1-2 with five more matches left in the season.
