Parente scores equalizer against Chicago Mustangs
Bloomington, Illinois – After a hard fought 90 minutes FC Diablos came back after going down a goal early to take a draw against the Chicago Mustangs.
The start of the game FC Diablos started off strong and tried their chances on goal, but failed to convert. For the Mustangs, they took advantage of Diablos’s missed chances and began to attack.
After gaining possession in the center of the field, a through pass down the left flank sent Mustang player Alejandro Chavez sprinting onto goal, slotting it past the keeper for the first goal of the game in the 22nd minute.
Throughout the match FC Diablos tried to get the goal back to salvage a point, but struggled to connect and be clinical.
After many desperate attempts to get the equalizer, FC Diablos finally got their goal. Bloomington native and captain Dalton Bruso sent in a curling cross into the box for Ethan Miller to chest it down to Magnus Parente and he smashed it off the crossbar and in.
